	5-12 October 2019 -  17th Australian Masters Games
	Adelaide, South Australia

Helen Godsell is in Adelaide, Australia visiting her son Joe and his family.

	"I am
lucky enough to be able to compete in the 60m, 100m, 200m, 400m and a 1 mile
at the Australian Master Games. No Record Breaking news, but I have 4 gold
medals in just 3 days. My times were not brilliant, but it has been a long
season without a break and obviously a long flight just 36 hours before my
first race. Please note in the photo, I have my own Medical Team (my 3 year
	old granddaughter!)."

	Last Friday, immediately after
winning the 100m at the Kent Masters League, Tom Phillips was called up in
front of the assembled athletes and awarded his trophy for 50 years
continuous Blackheath membership. Above is a photo of Tom being presented
with the award by John and Maz Turner. Tom had this to say regarding his
	achievement:
"For the record, I joined in
December 1968, in the big wave of enthusiasm for track and field following
the Mexico Olympics. In my time, I’ve sprinted in National League and
Southern League and, for the last twenty years, Kent Masters League. I
turned 65 in March. I don’t know how many other recipients of a Club 50 year
membership award have still been competing? Jim Day, Colin Brand and Gordon
Hickey all probably were, but not many others."
	Congratulations to Tom on this
	fantastic achievement! 5-06-19
