Tom Desborough has run in all the London mini
marathons since 2008 with his last one in April 2014 and
his steady progression has been recognised by the
The Virgin London Mini Marathon team are delighted to
announce that Tom has been the most improved runner in
the event's history from 22:13 in 2008 to 16:52 in 2014,
over the 3 mile course.
In light of this they are awarding Tom £250 as a prize
for his achievements.

2014 in Nanjing, China - 16-28 August. He is competing in
the modern pentathlon.

Lewisham Council is inviting applications
for funding from sports organisations and talented
individuals for the Small Grants Scheme 2014–15. This fund
will enable Lewisham sports organisations and athletes to

£4,000 are available within the Grow stream, up to £3,500
within the Sustain stream and bursaries of up to £500 are

send our Junior Girls to the European Junior Clubs Cup Final in Brno, Czech Rep.
At the Club on Wednesday 4 September 2013, Tony Pontifex,
the 200 Club Promoter, presented the President with a cheque for £2000 to help
send our junior girls to compete in the European Clubs Cups Final in Brno, Czech
Rep. He also gave another £500 towards the cost of the Polo Shirts. Presenting the cheques, Tony thanked the members for their continued
support, wished them luck in the future and said that if anyone would like to
