- Aviva English Schools’ Cross Country Championships 2011 - Nottingham
Will Mercer running at English Schools in Nottingham.
He finished in 143rd place out of 314 athletes in the Senior Boys. He was
the 5th Surrey boy home.
12/03/11 - Kent League at
Parkwood School

The girls' teams had great success at the final Kent
league:
- Senior women won league trophy.
- U13/U15/U17/U20 combined won best overall female
club trophy and they also won most improved female club trophy.
- Jane and I also were 2nd and 1st in individual vet
championship and I somehow scraped 3rd in overall championship- which was
more a case of turning up at them all I think!

Will Mercer finished 35th out of 80 starters and was 3rd Surrey runner home.

Brussels IAAF Permit Meeting
Despite the
weather B&B made it to Brussels for the 5 and 10k and the Cross country. The
Group had a fair bit of success.
La neige ne stoppe pas les coureurs
Anja Buyse et Steven Van Eester ont remporté le 5k Gaston Roelants, Ellen Van
Leeuwen et Jack Swallow ont fait de même sur le 10k. Près de 2000 participants
étaient présents à Bruxelles.

Hayes - The alternative run...
Please find attached pictures from the start and finish of
the alternative club xmas 5 this afternoon. The intrepid seven who ran were Amy
Mitchell, Viv Mitchell, Clare Parkin, Joshua Dowling, Mr Dowling (Joshua's dad)
Jessica Jones and Mick Jones. The official result was a 7 way tie for first,
owing to the perfect handicapping system.

London Youth Games - Parliament Hills
We had some good results today in the London youth Games
cross country with the U13 girls winning gold and the U15 girls winning bronze.
The girl holding up her medal is Niamh Bridson-Hubbard the U13 individual winner
taking gold in a time of 06.26

Senior Men take the Silver Medals...
Well done to
everyone that competed on Saturday in the National Cross Country Relays.
We had a great
weekend with some outstanding performances. All of our athletes performed well
but a special mention needs to go to Alex, Mike, Andy and Scott for a great team
performance and Russell Bentley for a great run on the opening leg for the B
team. Phil Sesemann also ran extremely well coming home in 10th on the opening
leg of a seriously hot U20’s race.
The Senior Men’s A
Team won silver medals for a second consecutive year, fantastic performance
lads!!
Our Senior Men’s B
Team also finished in its highest ever position in 39th place.
Our U20 men’s team
finished in a creditable 35th place.
