12/11/05 - National C-C Relays ECCA CROSS COUNTRY RELAYS BERRY HILL MANSFIELD 72 CAROLYNA JONES-BALDOCK 12.17 In an exceptionally fast first leg Carolyna led our womens team in 12.17 to pass on to Kate who ran 12.43. Annie, who is carrying a slight injury, held on to her position and ran 13.41. The team came 60th overall, not bad considering the lead runners were finishing in sub 10 mins!! Our president was the second team, and Anne, safe in the knowledge of not having to pass on to anyone, trotted round well within her comfort zone enjoying the course. Kate Well done to al those that competed on Saturday @ the National Cross Country relays. It was great to have three senior mens teams on the start line. Also thanks must go to our supporters who were fantastic. Results were: B Team C Team Nick Some good news from the Reigate Priory Relays, we came third!! Results were: Dave Taylor was the 2nd fastest of the day. A great warm up for the National Cross Country Relays this coming weekend in Mansfield. Nick 29/10/05 - KENT LEAGUE, TONBRIDGE SENIOR WOMEN 5TH TEAM JUNIOR WOMEN Although I wasn’t at the Tonbridge event I hear through the grapevine there was a good deal of friendly competition within the race. Our first lady home was second claim Viv Mitchell in 15th position, with Bella and Miranda completing the team. Bryony Proctor had her best run yet this season coming in pole position. Well done. Next League race, 19 November, Sparrows Den. Kate
8/10/05 - Kent League at Danson Park Full results are here... 5 J Butler 23.19 The first Kent League was held at Danson park. The weather was good, the ground was firm and we were set to defend our title. Jennie had a disappointing run but still finished well inside the top ten in 5th place. Bella ran well in 10th, and Carolyna, who is having an excellent start to the season was 18th, bringing the team in in 2nd place. Newcomer Helen Gear, sneaked past the captain at the final post to gain 23rd place. Elle Harker, 35th, and Abi Brown also competed for the first time on the country, a slight change from the track races they’re used to! Considering we had a few athletes missing due to illness we had a very good turn out and an excellent result. Next league race, 29 oct, Tonbridge. Kate |
