Veterans or Masters Information
Please note, if you were not there, or didn’t hear the announcement at Deangate on Friday night, that the date of the SCVAC League Final in September has been brought forward one day, from Sunday 7 September 2008, to Saturday 6 September. The final will still be held at the Julie Rose Stadium, Ashford.
Apparently a double booking has “just come to light”, and SCVAC had no choice but to make this change. Could you please share this information with Blackheath and Bromley Masters Team members. Neither men’s nor women’s teams have yet qualified for the final, of course – there are still four League matches to go, but we’ve made it most years, and were, of course, double winners last year. I’d like everyone to have the correct date in their diaries, pinned to the fridge door, etc. If the Kent League, which is our qualifying competition for the Final, goes down to the wire, it might be mid July before we know whether we’ve made it.
So, please keep 6 September clear, or re-schedule to 7 September everything you were originally planning to do that day!
